Faurot Park Shelter #1

This stone shelter is the largest offered by the Lima City Parks. With thirteen picnic tables, a parking lot adjacent to the shelter, and plenty of greenspace to the east, this shelter is ideal for larger gatherings. Paved walking paths that lead throughout the park run alongside the shelter for easy access to those using the shelter. Located at the top of the hill on Cole street on the east side of the roundabout entrance into the park, this shelter is easy to find for all invited to the gathering.

- The parking lot is adjacent to the south side of the shelter.

- A paved walking path runs alongside the south side of the shelter.
- A short walk down Cole street is Lake Sertoma. Fishing is allowed, no license required. Non-motorized watercraft is allowed.
- A short walk southeast is the parks splash pad (in operation 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Memorial Day weekend - Labor Day weekend).
- A ball diamond is a short walk south of the shelter on Cole St.
- A short walk southeast beyond the restrooms is a playground.
