This wooden shelter house is centrally located in Hover Park. The park’s public restrooms, playground, walking trails, pond (annually stocked), and basketball courts are all a short walk and within sight of this shelter. An outdoor grill is available for the use of those at the shelter house.

- A paved walking path leads throughout the park, around the pond, and connects to the Collett Street Recreational Area and the Ottawa River Bikeway Recreation Trail.

- Basketball courts are north of the shelter house.
